Why a TZR125, there all suffering from terminal mange by now.

FYI, TZR's do about 100MPH full derestricted etc.

Ignore craig, he's an idiot.

They are one of the better 2 stroke 125s. Not much more to say really. They do what a 2 stroke 125 does.

I bought a 1991 TZR 125 for my gf, and while it's a fun ride and handles pretty well we've had nothing but trouble with the electrics - one of the coils is on the blink so the spark plug keeps oiling up! Not funny when you get stranded in deepest darkest Wales Sad

You will be lucky. They might well indicate over 100mph, but it takes a hell of a lot of engine work to get them to actually do that. Realistically for the original style around 93mph.

All the best

yea my friend has brought one (broke the clutch 3 days later and is now waiting for parts) and i clocked him at 90mph tops but he has not fiddled with powervalves or anything like that yet so 100mph is probably pushing it for most 125's to be honest

Hi

Restricted (ie, power valve not played with) a TZR will not manage a true 75mph on level ground.

Years back PB had a 125 frenzy. A TZR did manage 102mph, but that was heavily ported, larger carb, custom pipe, etc.

All the best

Keith

I have that magazine in the house. I have another where they got an AR125 to get very close to the ton.
