She wasn't "fined", she was issued with a fixed pe- no, wait, she was actually fined.

Well, it was a silly jobsworth knee-jerk over-reaction to a minor inci- oh, it was a last resort prosecution for an ongoing leak, after several months and written warnings.

So... Thinking... hang her, I guess. What's her story, I wonder? Duckface McInstagramFilter, or dead old biddy been eaten by her cats?

Since she's from Bromley, this would be my entirely unreasonable going-in assumption Whistle

Quote:
Ms Holmes was charged under section 161(1) of the Highways Act 1980.

Quote:
161 Penalties for causing certain kinds of danger or annoyance.
(1)If a person, without lawful authority or excuse, deposits any thing whatsoever on a highway in consequence of which a user of the highway is injured or endangered, that person is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding [F1level 3 on the standard scale].

I would have argued that my car is not a person.

Every sane person would indeed have done this too.

You'd have to show up to court to do that, which Duckface McInstagramFilter dindu.

I'm sure she's on Facebook right now crowing that this is bogus and against her human rights and that and she ain't done nothing and they can't do nothing to her.

Until her benefits are garnished, or she's dragged by her hair extensions into gaol - and then her benefits are garnished - she may well be correct.

I wonder if my Enfield is going to get an ASBO for widdling oil? I do make sure I park it on the concrete at the 60's style milk bar in Keswick (has an Enfield clipper in the window) to add authenticity. Slightly hipster-ish but in fairness do fantastic eggs bennedict, large sausage sandwiches, pancake stacks and pint mugs of tea.

I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles.

Decent breakfast joints are aye more important than safety and the environment.
