The end of last season saw squeeky tight-wad Pepperami buy some armoured jeans at last.
Now I need to know how to clean them.

Do I just put then in the washing machine just like any other type of jeans or is there a specific way that I need to clean armoured jeans?

What does the label say Peps? I've just washed mine at 30 degrees as per the label in them. Seemed counter productive
adding fabric softener so I didn't bother with that.

Follow the instructions on the label, usually wash on a cool wash and then let them air dry. I occasionally stick mine in to tumble briefly then let them finish drying naturally.

Don't use fabric softener, kills Kevlar. Take armour out and wash with plain powder or soap flakes etc on low.

Clean fabric softer build up in the soap draw

The label is so small that you couldn’t read the instructions even if you tried.
I threw the instructions that came with them away when I got them.

On the Aldi kevlar jeans I've always washed them like normal still perfeftly fine.

Every thing i have seen you post is just abusing people seemingly at random, why are you even here ?.

Also, washing kit after a winters use is hardly being a weekend warrior.
I ride daily all year, i still wash my kit if it needs it.

In your mind is a biker supposed to be a filthy smelly cunt ?.

My Hoods just say to remove the armour and wash normally at 40 degrees max, and don't dry them inside out (ie exposing the Kevlar) in direct sunlight.

I think this is more about the potential risk of fabric conditioner buggering up the fire-resistant properties of Kevlar by coating its fibres with possibly flammable residue. So it's all about fireproof clothing and nowt to do with abrasion resistance. (Though why I'd want to use fabric softener on my bikey pants in the first place I don't really know...)

take armour out, wash at lowest temp available usually 30 on a man made fibre setting, with reduced ironing/spin, then drip dry

From the Roadskin jeans warning leaflet that came with mine.

"Kevlar is a bit of a vampire, it hates sunlight, if you expose the Kevlar(R) to direct sunlight on the line or when wearing open ,the UV can break Kevlar (R) down, so dry in a shade or the dark and try not to leave the lining open to the sun."
