Okay so my YBR decided to eat a piston a few weeks back, it seems that the top end of the engine was staved of oil (thinking the oil pump had broke) I was wrong, it seems to be a small oil seal that has been mangled.

The oil seal fits into the crankcase cover on the right hand side (dipstick side) This oil seal seems to help feed oil through a passage that is in the shaft of the crank, then though the seal, routed around the crank casing and then directed towards the op of the engine though the head.

The only problem is I cant seem to find the seal, it is only small. The one on Fowlers seems to be placed in the wrong place, as if it were a seal that went where the oil looking glass would have been.

I have took some pictures of the location and the seal that I am talking about for references.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated, sorry if the images are to big Smile
