Can anyone point me to some 3m or similar sticky pads that are maybe 3mm thick or so? Have googled it and cannot find any.

Issue I'm having is sticking drift stealth 2 mount onto my new helmet, With the adhesive pads the mounts come with the flat one only makes contact at the centre, and the curved one only makes contact at the edges, and I'm not convinced enough of the area is making contact to stick firmly.

Slightly thicker pad would do the job. Nobody seems to sell any (that I can find)

Yes thanks I know how to Google. Ive looked and cant find anything suitable, hence asking here. These products in your link and the ones that come up in the lmgtfy look suitable for crafts and card making, not sure I'd trust them for holding a camera on a helmet at 70mph in the rain.

What I'm looking for is 3M's VHB tape or a product of similar bond strength but thicker so the thickness fills up the gap created by the difference in curve radius of my helmet and the curve of the drift mounts.

How well does 3M VHB stick to itself? Wonder if I could layer two pads together.

You are extrapolating an issue that doesn't exist.

You do not fill gaps in the curve.

You use a curved mount.

Shocked

Apart, of course, from the exact product you mentioned in the exact thickness you specified. Mr. Green

Helmet is too curved for a good fit with flat mount, not curved enough for a good fit with curved mount.

Heat a mount up with a heat gun until it becomes pliable and form to the contours of your helmet.

They are more or less standard fit. And the glue sticks like shite to a blanket anyway.

Can't you just double up the existing thin tape you have at the edges to account for the curvature

Here is a quick sketch to demonstrate
