Adobe CS6 on linux

I've been googling of course but anyone here 'happily' using Adobe CS6 on Linux?

Currently using win 7-64 on my main PC and Like it
My lappy has win 10 and I feckin hate it, my lad says better get used to it cos win 7 support ends in 2020
soo... I reckon I may try Ubuntu or Mint with Wine for CS6.
I know of GIMP and Inkscape/Scribd etc but kind of used to using CS6

In fairness, I can't think I've ever got wine to work properly.

I do however use windows 7 in a virtual box for the one thing I need to do on a PC but can't actually do with linux which is update the wifes garmin GPS. I suppose there is then the added benefit of you can just keep using windows 7 without bothering about updates if you did it that way. Not very memory friendly though

You could always dual boot into windows for when you want to use CS6.

It will probably be better just to dual boot. You could always try Darktable for RAW editing on Linux.

The best way to dual boot if your motherboard supports it is to buy another hard drive;
Connect it to a spare SATA port.
Unplug the other hard drives.
Then install Linux (don't for get to install NTFS-3G to be able to access the window drives once connected and added).
Connect all hard drives back up.
In the bios, pick which OS will be your main booter and the other as 2nd option. Then on boot if you wish to boot the other OS push the key for boot options (mines F12) and pick that OS.
This way you don't have to worry if one of them mucks up as the other OS will not be affected.

There are various options open to me and no immediate
hurry, so I reckon I'll spend a bit of time considering in my options, needs, wants and experimenting with stuff.
