So have you got an apron, muffs and heated grips for it yet?
If you are going to be using it over winter check out the Sava MC32 winter tyres. I know they do a fitment for the front, not sure about the rear. You will be shocked at the grip. |
It's already got heated grips, except they don't work and I haven't yet decided if I'm going to spend time investigating the issue, or take the lazy way out and put a new set on; after the other electrical aggro I'm having, it will likely be the latter.
It also has hand guards, which seem to do an effective job of keeping the wind and rain off the back of my hands, so I doubt I'll bother with muffs; maybe if I was on it all day, but it's no more than a hour each way and I'm always heading to somewhere warm, so I think I can live with that.
Similarly, I haven't considered an apron; I've been out in a couple of torrential downpours and, when I'm moving, the only bit that gets wet are my upper arms, so my waterproofs can deal with the stationary stuff.
The tyres look interesting, they remind me of the dual purpose Tourances I had on my XL, but they seem to have been discontinued. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........
