hi all.
i've been riding my gs125 and thinking of upgrading. becuaseof my age (17). i'm thinking of getting only slightly bigger , like a cbr150. it costs 1900 pounds and makes 25 bhp ( one cylinder from cbr6). i'm wondering if anyone knows about it and how good it is. any imformation would be much appreciated ____________________ Now own a Fireblade!! I believe all those 150's in the UK are imported from places like Taiwan, not officially launched over here, but I could be wrong.
The 125 barely puts out about 12bhp so I find it hard to believe that 25cc extra gives it about 13bhp more.
Just stick with the GS, get your test done, then get a 250 or something slightly bigger. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |

Hi
The CBR150 is a grey import. Performance wise there is no way that it would make 25hp, although it does have a 4 valve head unlike the 125. My guess would be a true 18~20hp.
Also it is not learner legal, no more so than a CBR600RR. If you have passed your test then look at a bigger bike, if you are a learner and sticking with a 125 then look at the 2 strokes, which would be far quicker and have better parts availability.
All the best

My mate in Thailand has a CBR150 - it's made in Thailand and they are selling like hot cakes. Funnily enough, his version has spoked wheels (yuck). I don't think that there's much point getting the 150 as it's too compromised and filling an unncessary vacuum. Either get a 125 or pass your test and ride something much more exciting and bigger (not trying to say the 150 aint exciting, but there's a lot more fun to be had with UK spec bikes and not to mentione cheaper parts and insurance) Just a though though.
