Hope he has a separate insurance policy for the R6 as would be a shame to miss out on this warm weather with such a nice bike. Sad

They are starting to wake up here just south of Birmingham, but it's been quiet so far in my neighbourhood.

It's normally when the wasps and flies start swarming round roofs and gardens. Only they prefer stolen and or non road legal bikes and quads to horse and dog shit.

I also agree with NJD about the three Birmingham areas he mentioned, but include Stechford and Sheldon.

Is there not still a fairly large patch MC community in Castle Vale though? I would have thought that this fact keeps some of the little scumbags in check, or means that they have to venture further afield to nick bikes,as it could be a very risky thing to do on your own doorstep. Wink

I know Stechford best for the stabby-go-stabby fun fair that they hosted from time to time on the park (Kingfisher?) by the island down the road from Fox & Goose. Imagine that's another route from Garrets Green, Kitts Green and, looking at a map, castle bromwich.

Sheldon's an interesting one. Popular route up to Coventry. What gossip ye got?

Couldn't say although is meant to be a bike club in Yardley as have seen them in the past near city centre.

No real info of anything specifically, but I worked in and around Birmingham for 8years until two years ago. I've seen alot of people's houses, gardens and garages on my travels and doing house installations etc. I now don't get any closer than Longbridge/King's Norton at a push, and I'm glad.

As for Castle Vale, I did a 3week night shift doing highways infrastructure uplift and most of the locations were near the Jaguar plant and the roads around it.

I remember one night hearing and seeing at least 30-40 bikes of a 45degree V-twin style thundering past on the Kingsbury road about 9pm. I assumed it was a club meeting or ride out.

Ah but you've got Northfield (init, brav) and Selly Oak on your doorstep, I'm not sure what one I'd worry about more.

Redline is a good bike shop (Bristol road) if you ever need one around there.

Could be. I don't venture out enough to know what goes on for the most part given it's easier, and less hassle, to exit in a small square than risk venturing out.

Well you wouldn't be parking your bike up around Shenley fields, Weoley Castle or Bartley Green either that's for sure! Laughing

Yeah I've been in Redline a few times over the years, they seemed decent enough when I was looking at buying a nearly new Italjet F125. I went for a Frog scoot instead and never got over my mistake. Laughing

Certainly a large MC presence in Albert Rd Stechford, chav bike thieves had best avoid that area IMHO.
