Morning,

I want to replace the stock can on my ER6N. I'm in it for the sound, not the BHP, so a slip on will do the job. I've had a look and can see how it is physically replaced. The existing exhaust flange measures ~51mm.

If I bought this, I'm going to need one of these, I assume?

Which needs welding to either the can or standard downpipe? Can you clamp both ends if I were to choose both ends slit option? Wont this add some length to the exhaust, meaning the bracket will no longer line up with the bikes mount?

Is this the norm for a slip on, or if I were to buy new would it be a direct fit for the existing 51mm downpipe?

Just seems weird that they list if for an ER6, yet needs some kind of modification. Makes me wonder if its taken from a full system that has a 65mm downpipe.
