Evening peeps,

Ive got a Honda_cbr600f 2011. I've just bought a Black Widow full exhaust system to replace the standard exhaust.

Has anyone on here replaced their standard exhaust?

Any tips to bear in mind when removing and installing the new exhaust?

Use a penetrating fluid such as plusgas on the exhaust studs to avoid snapping them.

Simply do not remove the studs. Instead remove the nuts. If they come out freely winner.

If they don't use a nut splitter or a dremmel (or other rotary tool) to cut the nuts off.

If the studs snap you're in for a really bad time.

Get the engine properly hot before you start.

Honda like to use reducing studs (M8->M7) which does not help, they snap easier. They also become brittle and soft. If they snap, replace with decent grade M8 studding.

Alum will safely disolve snapped studs, but it takes a few days and needs to be kept warm/hot to work - Do not waste 900 pounds at the local dealership, to then be 3 months without a bike.
