Hi, wonder if anyone could help. Have been unable to find any information on this across the forum.

I have a CM125 CC. I took a resistance reading from the CDI source coil lead, and received the following readings;

Blue to white: 5.5 ohm
White to Earth: 315 ohm

Both of these readings are indicating that the stator is for the CB125 TD model.

Would running a stator from a CB125 TD be okay, or could it be playing havoc with the ignition system? Would any other stator be okay to use or would any modifications be necessary? I have sourced the rotor as the correct part (from part number on it) which can be found here: https://www.honda-motorradteile.de/34812.html

Also, would anyone on the off chance have the specifications for the above test for a CM125 CF?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tefs your man. He's trapped in 1981.

PM Teflon Mike if you want a faster, but far longer answer but he'll spot this sooner or later.
I had one of these in about 1989, but I never really messed about with it much so I'm no help that way.
I'd love to get my hands on another and bring it back to life, might have to lose the front drum brake though.
I remember the brakes being a bit hit or miss, and I'm used to much better stoppers now.

Err... that was pre-pubity!!! In fact, I'm not even sure that I had started secondary school in 1981!!!!
I might LIKE to be trapped in 1981... in some Life-on-Mars kind of way, with a David Bowie and Dexies sound-track.... unfortunately the idea of perpetually looking forwards to acne, chad impressions at the bar, and hormone imbalenced teenage girls....
er...
ACTUALLY.....
Since they seem to stay hormonally imbalenced, way beyond teenage, and my experience seems to suggest that they actually get more imbalenced with age, until they go completely off the edge moaning about hot-flushes and its NOT... dont say it, dont even think, it, I have a pair of scissors and am NOT afraid to use them...
MAYBE regressing to 1981, when I think the biggest problem in my life was where my gran was going to put yet another comemorative coffee mug, with a picture of Charles and Di on it.. and how to get the penny to stay on the arm of my record player to stop the needle jumping to Ant-Music! MIGHT not be 'Soooo' bad... I'm bad, john doe I'm really bad.....

Neon Yellow leg warmers..... yummm.....
