i have a gz 125 suzuki marauder, the carb has a tps fitted, is there a crb that will fit this bike, and do i need the tps if another carb does not have one.
i think its a k2, but they are an arm and a leg to buy new.
i went to fill up yesterday, got to the pump and there was a puddle of fuel on the floor, so i filled up and got home. fuel was pissing out of the vent pipe, so i am suspecting a sticking float and or needle.

thanks

As you’re new to the forum, did you not think it important to at least say “hello” before asking a question? Or do you not plan on coming back once your question has been answered?

Most likely to be the float valve - it'll either be worn or some dirt preventing it from seating properly. Carb off, float bowl off, float off, remove valve and inspect for wear.

The t.p.s is there for a reason, why not clean the carb or fit a carb kit and fit an inline fuel filter as well?

Thanks for the advice, I'll strip it down tomorrow.
I heard a guy fitted a car from a gs 125, he said it all fit and worked fine, it was just a thought.

Thanks again

Carb rebuilds aren't hard on single cylinder bikes as long as you're careful. Parts are usually cheap for them too.

No worries! I was probably a bit quick to jump down your throat.

I appreciate fowler's say out of stock for many items but doesn't seem like much if it is discontinued and if you ask them they can source you most stuff. Use the part numbers to try eBay as well. I found a few carb bits easily on eBay. If I've gotten the year wrong then theres other options on both sites linked to above.

CMSNL are another option for hard to find parts but they can be pricey.

Well, I stripped thd carb down. Vacuum test on o ring was good, needle valve good, float good.
There was a bit of crud in bottom of bowl, so I cleaned it all, gave it a blow out, put an online filter, she started good, rubs good, not leaks.
So I don't know what was wrong.
Main thing it's sorted.

Thanks for everything guys
