"...Might even have a year off"

16k miles, just serviced and fairly local.

Since I've picked it up I've done some stuff:

Clear front indicator lenses
Black adjustable levers with grey adjusters
Super white bulbs
Tail tidy
Rear indicators
Seat cowl
Small plate
Removed rear pegs
Plasti dipped wheels (really in need of powdercoating but waiting till winter)
Brand new right lower fairing as old was a little scuffed
Remus exhausts
Decat

I have ordered thebmore modern rim tape to see how that will look as well as a double bubble screen.

I'm on the look out for a power commander and then will give it some dyno time.

The engine doesn't seem as strong as the k6 gsxr (no surprise) down low, but I think it's prettier.

Yeah but that's classy and slinky and makes a better noise. The GSXR is just a loud slightly rough working class hooligan with more low down (long stroke) grunt, but sweet they ain't!

I always tell myself I'm done with sports bikes.

I did however just put my k5 750 on the road.

I'm not done with sports bikes.

It does seem more classy. It feels better built than the gsxr. Not sure if it sounds better, it bellows off through villiages with the remus and decat Laughing the gsxr was loud but only when giving it the beans. He k6 was 107db at 4.5k, this seems a lot louder.

I don't think it's had an upgraded rotor, but it has been replaced

I thought it was rather slow steering, I checked the tyre pressures and they where in the 20s. Put 36 in (I usually run about 34 on 2cts) and it seems much better.

Took it out today for its first fun run, noticed some high speed braking judder, will check the brakes piston are moving freely and hope it's not needing new discs. Can only feel it under heavy ish braking above 70/80.

I said the very same then went and got a 1299.

Sport bikes have become even more uncompromising since I last rode, so now I'm certain this is my last.

I enjoyed mine. Very tall first gear, makes a good noise, brakes were great. I didn't find the decat/race cans on mine that offensive. There are so many options for modifications on them, so fill your boots!

Brakes should work well, they're monobloc (ISR designed made by sumitomo) and have a cast brembo M/C as standard.
