It does seem more classy. It feels better built than the gsxr. Not sure if it sounds better, it bellows off through villiages with the remus and decat the gsxr was loud but only when giving it the beans. He k6 was 107db at 4.5k, this seems a lot louder.
I don't think it's had an upgraded rotor, but it has been replaced
I thought it was rather slow steering, I checked the tyre pressures and they where in the 20s. Put 36 in (I usually run about 34 on 2cts) and it seems much better.
Took it out today for its first fun run, noticed some high speed braking judder, will check the brakes piston are moving freely and hope it's not needing new discs. Can only feel it under heavy ish braking above 70/80. ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |

I enjoyed mine. Very tall first gear, makes a good noise, brakes were great. I didn't find the decat/race cans on mine that offensive. There are so many options for modifications on them, so fill your boots!
Brakes should work well, they're monobloc (ISR designed made by sumitomo) and have a cast brembo M/C as standard. ____________________ My Flickr |
