Hello geek people! I was wondering if you could help me please.

I have bought a torch/laser pointer do-da .
The battery is a BRC18650, it’s a 3.7v Li-ion according to the writing on the battery .

Where an Earth do I get these batteries from?
Is it a rechargeable battery?

I seek your wisdom, oh geek people of the mighty BCF Thumbs Up
Thanks for any input in advance Thumbs Up

The strange name is the dimensions of the battery.

Beware of fakery.

The best ones are Nitecore.

Not cheap. Cheap will not last. They cannot be left for long periods (months) with no re-charge or they will lose their capacity to hold energy for a long time. Don't buy too many and then not cycle them properly (like I did)
Make sure you get the regulated type.
There are clips on youtube that explain how to strip a laptop battery to harvest a bunch of 18650s but they are not regulated. If you are keen you can buy the regulators from ali-express or ebay for pennies each.

I buy torches from that outfit.

You can also use two CR123A if you get stuck.

standard battery used in vape mods, plenty on the market via most places, you can go pick some up in person from any vape store
