Hi All,

My Tuono exhaust is from an early bike, stamped up as G 114 235 which was the full fat version. This wasnt original to the bike, so somebody has had a play in the past.

The end can on the other hand is an MPB1 e11 0039. Which I suspect matches the bike from the factory 14bhp restriction.

The end can appears to just be a straight run through and I don't see how it could restrict the airflow much, if at all, but the fact it's stamped as matching the restricted bike has me thinking it might be in some way different to the full power end can.

Does anybody know one way or another?

No proper answer for you I'm afraid, but if the bore size of the silencer is the same as the stinger pipe it shouldn't make any difference. I find it hard to believe that the restricted UK and full power bikes had different silencers, so are you sure it's not just an earlier or later silencer and possibly one to comply with different noise limits for different EU standards?

It'd definitely a later silencer than the expansion chamber based on the part numbers, it's also a fair bit longer than the early ones, which I'm sure does make it a bit quieter too.

My thinking was similar on the bore of the pipe, my only consideration was whether the packing or mesh through the pipe bore could somehow hinder airflow? It seems a bit far fetched.

Anyway, in the end I'd like to change it for something a little less plain, and the reason I'm checking is to ensure I won't mess the jetting by changing the end can. It seems unlikely to me?
