Drz intermittent bogging problem

Hoping for some direction. 2005 Drz400 3000 miles. Runs fine for about 10 miles then calamitous engine bogging. Will not spool up above say 1200 revs but idles ok and does not stall. Has backfired on only one occasion. Then after 5 seconds or up to a minute later it runs fine again. Removed carb and the float bowl was spotless,three jets were ok too. Petrol runs great out of the petcock when on prime. We talking electrical problem now? Are my symptoms a classic xxxxx fault ? In anticipation....cheers

Is the tank breathing all the time to let fuel out?
When it boggs down give it some throttle / choke and then remove the spark plug to see if it`s wet with fuel or smell exhaust for raw fuel.
