Has anybody got one or used one? They seem a great idea, without any need for a battery as such and no need to keep charging up a conventional heavy battery jump starter.

The principal is that a flat battery can be started by it's own remaining power by charging the capacitors and then that charge being reversed back to the battery to provide a surge of power to start the engine.

The one in the video is £180 on Amazon, not really worth buying when you can just do a normal jump start one way or another.

They 'charge' too much for them.

Are they much lighter and smaller than these new lithium jump starters you can get?

It's bigger than the lithium battery jumper packs and I've seen one of those start a transit van four times on one charge.
