Picked up a downpipe to replace the one for the front cylinder which has a hefty bend/dent in it.

I'll be bringing mu bike to a garage as I don't have the time, patience or tools for the possibility of seized bolts etc. I have sourced some of the parts that I need, but I need help find out what else I need as I'm pretty clueless.

I'm not sure if the exhaust system can be taken off in parts, as its only the front header pipe that needs replacing. I've been told that if I take the exhaust apart properly, I won't need to take the rear "stubby" pipe off which saves on buying or trying to replace the rear port gasket. - So in that case it's looking like I'm only going to need the bolts for the front and rear collars, and a front port gasket. As nooby as it sounds and because I've seen many types of exhaust gaskets for this bike, I am unsure if the front port gasket is the normal, thin, gasket that sits between the cylinder's port and the pipe? I was also told to stay away from copper gaskets.

TL;DR: Any help on what gaskets I need would be much appreciated.
