Ahem, Bamburgh castle. Good grief, takes a southerner to tell you that
Good views of the Cheviots to be had from the battlements of Lindisfarne castle (see below). ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

I added the quote to my post as an afterthought. Sorry, but I judged you'd try to be sneaky ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

There is something a bit special about the fact it becomes an island twice a day, if you are there as the road floods it is fascinating.
Every year people get caught out, sometimes you can get to the refuge point but it's deeper beyond - by the time you turn round it is getting dangerous on the first section too.

To be even more random, if your Mrs likes Baileys, do try the Monk's own version...
That sounds a bit rude, but it wasn't meant to... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M
