How do I connect a new ignition coil to a spark plug cap using the new, hard-wired leads?

The HT leads have a small section of multi-strand copper wire sticking out. (See photo). It looks like a push or screw fit into the plug cap. The cap has what looks like broad ridges inside (possibly a thread) to grip the outer.

Do I just twist the lead into the cap? There is a metal spike deep inside the cap (again possibly ridged or threaded) but that looks like a surprisingly small contact patch.

Thanks.

Yep, it should just screw into place. Mine certainly did.

Cheers, I cut a little more off the outer to expose more wire and shoved/screwed it in. Seems firm enough but now I've discovered that the mounting holes on the bike are 80mm apart and these Wemoto (I'll never learn!) coils are 90mm. Mixed messages from Wemoto on-line because it does say they are 90mm... but they're specifically in their ZX6R G2 parts listing!

I had wondered about doing the stick coil conversion but thought no, this'll be quicker, easier, possibly cheaper. Damn!

They look like the old one except the leads are hard wired and the mounting holes are out. I had assumed they were pretty generic. I guess Wemoto did too.
