Hi All, I'm not in the least bit affiliated to these, but, I do like what they're doing .. From their site ..

Quote:
The Veterans’ Garage is a unique approach to providing support to Military Veterans across the North West to have a stable social hub, to learn new skills, and receive the support and advice that is available to them.

Our aim is to build a hub for ex-servicemen and the local community to come together, creating a facility that can serve as a venue for unique automotive events that can raise funds and awareness for local causes.

The offerings of the Veterans’ Garage will go beyond socialisation and companionship, as this is just one part of the reestablishment necessary for those who are ex-service to successfully reintegrate to civilian life

Now after delays caused by governmental red tape and bureaucracy the building of the VG is once again full steam ahead and welcomes anyone who wishes to help us out in any way.

VETERANS GARAGE MOTORCYCLES

We are just beginning to develop this page and will add more details and more motorcycle models in the near future! The VGM motorcycles will be ready to buy from late March.

Please get in touch if you would like more details or would like to book a test ride (test ridea will take place at Manchester City Airport, the old Barton Airdrome in Eccles). Always remember that a percentage of every bike's price goes to help fund the Veterans' Garage.

Now, I know, that these bikes are Chinese bikes ( Fuego Tekken), which, no doubt means a few of you wouldn't give them the time of day. Whilst their current bike doesn't appeal to me, I hope it is a successful venture, and they do expand the range, as they indicate, to larger capacity & electric bikes, so, i will keep an eye on them.

To begin with at least, I suppose it will be a case of the cost comparision between VGM's 'Apache' and Lexmoto's Tekken 125 EFI, the same bike effectively.

Here's a link to their facebook page (God I hate facebook, but that's another story !!)
