I bought an newer TDM for cheap recently eventually I am going to build a bike taking the best part from my 97k mile 02 bike and Rebuilt to the new 60k 07 bike.
I have collected a number of powered accessories over the years and the wiring is a bit of a rats nest.
I have...
GPS
Heated Grips
Handguard lights
Stebel horn on a relay
12v socket
And the new bike has Spotlights I will keep.
I was looking for a tidy way to install it all and found this.

Seems ideal but a bit dear, anyone know anything better/cheaper? ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.
Skudd:- Perhaps she just thinks you are a window licker and is being nice just in case she becomes another Jill Dando.
WANTED:- Fujinon (Fuji) M42 (Screw on) lenses, let me know if you have anything. |

I have a couple of accessories on mine and am planning to add an auxiliary fusebox. Just an ignition-controlled relay with power direct from the battery feeding a simple multi-fuse block, something like this.
Any circuits that need inline switching get one (eg I have an inline switch for my mirror-mounted DRLs in case, for whatever reason, I want to have the ignition on but the DRLs off). ____________________

If like me you're not really into auto-electrics, there's a guy on the UK V-Strom forum who makes up pre-wired up auxillary fuseboxes (looks like using the same unit which stinkwheel posted). I bought one myself about a year ago (about £25 I think?); it was dead easy to fit and works fine. Obviously this item was bespoke for V-Stroms, ie with the correct connectors etc; don't know if it would be different on your bike.
