I have sympathy for the tractor driver with awkward bouncy verge mowing thing on the back.
You can't shoot out of field or track entrance like a car, and once committed you can't select reverse and ease back quick enough anyway.
The bike probably almost stopped, or it would have been far more messed up - so likely well within acceptable speed.
Unfortunately accidents do happen.

"Embedded", or just jammed behind the tractor's front wheel? Judging by the minor injuries sustained I would have thought the impact speed was likely to be pretty low?

Yerrrrs, 60. Shifty

Did a good job of holding it up. Must have ABS, which brakes better than any human can do in an emergency. Fite.

Maybe Wink.

A human that's bothered to learn how their bike performs with the bike upright and okay tyres and surface should be able to match ABS just fine in an emergency.

Given a "lack of adhesion" from water, debris etc - a different matter, no doubt.

Ayy they have the same cheap pair of grips as I do Dance!

Obviously played a vital part in stability and the controlled positioning to the gap by the front wheel.

Just a daft as hitting a deer.
Rules sez One must match speed to road conditions and be able to stop withing the distance you can see ahead.
Its a 'cuntry' road so expect cuntry folk to be about their everyday business.
There may even be warning signs posted.
Case of poor obs.

+1 for ABS as it is more reliable and always switched on and ready to control braking unlike probably most rider's brains.

Any comparison with a human v ABS I've seen was where the human was already anticipating an emergency stop.
And usually by very experienced riders and Not Sunday Blast Aficionados.

Aaarrr.

Not a single person in the history of motoring does this. If you did you'd be slowing down to 15 mph on every bend just in case Rik Waller's standing in the road.

I recall, I went straight to the Wut Dun thread to see if your Honda was a red Fireblade. Wink
