Derbi gpr 125 2010 4t, so i took the bike out for a short ride after buying it last week all being well i gave it a wash checked everything was fine after the wash which it was, then put it in the garage, came out 2 days after to take it for a ride and it would idle but as soon as you try to give it some throttle it would die, currently so far the things iv checked,
(Cv carb) Carb inspection/clean, jets, checked diaphragm, slide, float height seals ect ect everything seems ok
Checked tank petcock (vacume tank)
New spark plug
Fresh fuel
Checked for vac leaks, intake leaks ect ect
All fuel lines seem fine
At this point i can rev the bike fine if i slowly ease the throttle on and will rev with a quick blip of the throttle once the rpms are up there, but any sudden movements of the throttle at idle the bike will cut out,

Any help/advise would be appreciated!!! Thanks guys

My old Derbi Mulhacen did that (Same motor as the GPR). Once it heated up it got silly. The wiring is shoddy from the factory, and always suspect if some kiddo has been hacking at it with pliers and a shit £5 soldering iron. Check up where it runs past the headstock, that seemed to be a very problematic area.

@tankie jets are clear thoroughly cleaned and checked 5 times (no exaggeration) lol
@thatdippytwat the wiring is the only thing i havent checked yet due to there being a strong spark and everything working on the bike i thought there would be no need, ill inspect the loom at some point tomorrow, for now anyone elce have any ideas?
Thanks again

It's a weak mixture, so ether a fuel restriction ,or an air leak

Does this bike have a choke/enrichment system and were you using it?

@ weasly yes it has electric auto choke, it seems to run better with choke on but then again if the revvs are around 3k anyway it does not cut out if revved sharply

@tankie do you think its possible the pilot passageway not the jet the actual passageway within the carb body could be partially blocked?

Possible, so remove the jet/jets and squirt up or down (carb removed) the passage way to see where fuel should come out into the ventura.
You may have to remove the pilot mixture screw as well.

To be honest thats somthing iv already done, but i suppose it cant hurt to do it again, theres nothing iv not missed though is there? Normally i wouldnt have too much of a problem diagnosing running issues but this one has seriously stumped me

Can you see what the carb slide is doing when opening the throttle?

Old plug looked ok mayb a touch rich @mentalboy
@jaffa90 i havent tried to watch the slide while opening the throttle no, it seems smooth if i push it up by hand and theres no rips in the diaphragm and the needle is non adjustable just to add, were you thinking somthing possibly wrong with slide?

Bike was cold when washed, jet wash bucket of water and wash mit, staying away from carb/electrics and was started and warmed up after wash then revved a few times and it ran fine (no bogging or cutting out)

Jet wash is a no no, cold start uses a cold start jet (choke) as said up to 3,000rpm.
I`ve had a few engines bog down when opening the throttle and had to give them more pilot fuel or less air (mixture screw).
With worn carbs i`ve fitted a denser air filter or use half choke (manual butterfly).

Checked the plug today it looks rich imo adjusted carb float as that also looked too high and also played with mixture screw again, no luck!! Will rev fine if you trickle the throttle on, as soon as you give it a blip it dies, currently checking wiring for corrosion.
Any more advise welcome! Thanks again

It sounds like the choke is working ok, cold start will sit at 2.5k ish then after roughly 30sec will drop to 1.6k ish starting to pull my hair out now

Approaching this from a logical stance, bike ran fine having just bought it, pressure washed it and then it plays up.

That leaves one of two options, old owner sold you a lemon that was doctored to briefly run - as it will idle does it sound like a bag of nails? Can you hear valves tapping away nicely? (Not hearing them is actually worse than a light clatter). Further investigation would entail compression test and valve clearance check.
Ruling out lemon theory leaves you with water ingress - draining the float bowl should be the only action required in the carb as it was previously working, fiddling with mixture settings was not the route to go.
Presumably the air filter chamber is not a swimming pool, if it is then the drain hole or drain pipe in the bottom will be blocked.
If air filter is dry that leaves you back at post #2 checking loom.

Edit: I presume this is a single throttle cable jobbie?

@mentalboy i can see the logic in what your saying but the bike ran sweet when i brought it until washing, (not lemon) i thought the exact same so iv checked everything for water and its all dry dry dry thats what i cant get my head around! Iv had a quick look at loom tonight looks ok but would have thought the bike wouldnt run at all if it was experiencing loom problems, the bike ticks over and revs all the way up it you trickle the throttle on, im seriously considering taking my losses and selling it for spares and repairs, not putting any more money into it hence im trying so hard to self diagnose
