Last time I ended up renting a van myself as I couldn't find anyone who a) wanted the job b) didn't cost a fortune and c) could move it in a reasonable time frame.

If riding it back myself had been an option, I wouldn't have started this thread. Thinking

Why is it not an option? Is it a barn find job that won't pass an MOT?

Does it matter why it's not an option? He wants a courier, not a debate.

I'd rather get shit delivered than spend a day out picking up, getting it insured hassle hassle. Just drop it off, in garage, tidy up and use when ready.

Because I don't have the 6 hours required for the round trip at this moment in time.

When I bought the ninja the rear brakes were seized, it had no MOT and within 20 miles the clutch cable had snapped.... all easy enough fixes unless I was riding it back to Glasgow from a bawhair from Lands End

That and the fuel back to Glasgow would probably have been more than I paid for delivery (OK I had to wait a week for it to be delivered... meh.... how long would I wait if I bought a brand new bike from a showroom?)
