Just watched the coverage of the Superbike race. Brilliant coverage from ITV 4, seems to get better every year. Real shame for Deano after that first lap, deserved better.
Love the enthusiasm of Matt Roberts and the insights from Plater and Cam Donald but WTF is it with Jodie Kidd?? Do we need a token female presenter who knows fuck all about the TT? What happened to Whit and Parrish?
Could Michael be on for a record equalling 5 wins or even a record beating 6??
Podium celebrations were understandably restrained and some nice words after the race, RIP Dan Kneen.

Gutted for Deano as well but the BBC sport site ruined the result for me anyway Rolling Eyes They don't normally post MotoGP results on the front page so I thought I was safe with the TT Crying or Very sad

She does seem particularly bad. What I don't get is from the few seconds of The Women's Football Show I see (before I turn it off after MOTD) it seems to be all female host/pundits, yet you see some of them on men's coverage as well.

Why can't they just have knowledgeable contributors who understand/like the sport in question Confused

Whit is out recoveringish from the big C i suspect.

Kidd ... she's just devoid of anything including personality - difficult to watch. Would rather Suzi Perry or Abbey Griffiths.

Racing is as ever, fantastic

Ahh presenters will be divisive such is life.

Cam appears to be struggling but then again he ain't done much comms.
Plater bores me.

The racing was great lest we forget.

Deano.... phenomenal.

Needed a bit of a change and they seem to get the balance except for Jodie Kidd an absolute awful choice. 0/10
As for Cam Donald I always smile when he says "Kawasaki" Smile

What a lap from the Birchalls! Smashed the lap record. The camera looking back at Tom Birchall in the chair was fantastic, he must be black and blue after a TT.

MD just broke the lap record for the 600 and did a 129+mph lap that’s mental.

Superstock Lap record is now less than one fifth of a second away from the Superbike record! Shocked

As far as I can tell the only thing slowing the Superstock bike is the suspension, going by what was said in the post race interviews!

In an allday meeting...still managed to listen to the Superstock1000 race. Dance!

Wow! So Hickman out braked himself, did a 3 point turn and then told by Marshalls had to go around the tree to rejoin the race....and still did lap records.

Amazing bikes, superb road legal tyres and fantastic pilots.

Brill. Thumbs Up

I'd expect it to be a little quicker with slicks. Even more stable yo. Funnily enough I was talking to a tyre guy today and he reckons the more road biased rubber works better as it gives more stability than the track special tyres with a pointy profile. I guess that makes sense. How can you hold something flat out on Sulby straight if every bump means it's trying to point its self at a tree.

Agreed - Kidd is truly awful. No TT knowledge and wooden delivery. If she using this as a 'Top Gear' audition then forget it.
Not even that easy on the eye these days - black hotpants last night Confused

is it bad i actually think shes banging....

also can i ask if people think dunlop would actually set a better lap time if he hadnt caught the person in front (harrison).. he just catches him then knows hes won so autopilots the rest behind him (smart)

though saying that i dont know what happened in race #2 if people can fill me in as to why dunlop is so slow?

She wants banging with a bat.

No doubt he could have gone faster but why risk it? Bring the bike home, he knew he had it won.

Maybe his head wasnt in it today, bet he's got the senior in his head. 30s time penalty didn't help.

Go Deano! First of many.

OGR.

Jodie Kidd is shocking, I think my cat has watched more bike racing than her (although she gets confused when they go off the edge of the screen).

Big shame for Ivan Lintin today, McGee was impressive in pushing MD for a while. Hopefully Harrison can take the spoils in the Senior on Friday.

Yes that was fun just following the timing and that was quite some final lap from Hicky, he smashed the 135 barrier. The Ulster GP needs a new tagline.
