That does look like it smarts a little!

When I came in from a testing session in the kart once, I got out and looked at the back end but to ease getting down I put my (gloved) hand on the exhaust.

Oh lordy it took a second or two but hey that smarted. Laughing.

My mate did a massive one on his arm as he tried to get the bungies off the back of my bike.

Thing was it was his stag do.

I have young children < 5 and the Z's exhaust is dangerous.

The ER6's exhaust is far safer being on the underside of the bike.

I burnt my forehead twice on my Ninja Embarassed

A combination of slap-head and underseat pipe when checking tyre pressures is not good.

Reminds me of the time I had to shout at a small kid who was milling around my bike, touching things. I think the father who was (supposed to be) watching her didn't like it until I said I was more concerned about her burning herself on the hot exhaust than touching the bike in general. Rolling Eyes

I saw absolutely loads of people abroad with horrendous blisters up the insides of their legs, where they had casually stepped off the moped/scooter and not thought about their bare skin and hot exhaust combo... Shocked

That's a cracking blister...

I once burnt myself on the exhaust, putting air in the back tyre.
The best burn mark I've had was from a quad bike though, un-hitching a trailer... burnt though my sleeve and left a nice O shape mark on my arm.

Something like the above, that ring would make for a cracking de-gloving injury. Confused

Do not like rings, me.

The word de-gloving was used to describe the casualty photo of the guy who had 'de-gloved his testicles' in a harness accident we got a brief about at work!

As for the exhaust this re-enforces why when you are pulled over for that noisy can you tell the copper when he asks about the E mark its 'right at the bottom of the can underneath' in the hope he'll actually rub his hand around it to find it Wink

I've done this before, one really big one in the centre of my hand. Not from touching an exhaust though, I was going to bed, tripped over a portable radiator, put my hand out to stop myself and put it straight on a bed side lamp. There was no shade and the light had been on for hours. It hurts like a bastard. It reminds me of a mate aswell who sprayed deoderant straight onto his arm. It made a huge fucking blister full of fluid. We were on a bus and he was pressing it, making the fluid go to one side and then the other. As he pressed it one of the lads jumped up and jabbed at it with his finger. It popped and spat all the fluid all over the roof of the bus. Blisters aren't fucking nice lol.

Yeah, similar thing happened to me the other day.
Was cooking dinner and got drawn in/distracted by something on the internet, then I burnt my chicken. The pain (from the hunger) was excrutiating.

I have done that, I touched it so lightly that it melted/cooked a hard smooth circle bit of skin on the end of my finger, no blister though surprisingly.
