So i emailed the contact found on the Sinnis website for UK parts about getting a center stand for my Cafe 125, all I got back was a short email saying exactly "You cant get a center stand for that bike"

However my instruction manual clearly states that they do come with them, I can even see the holes in the frame where they bolt in.

Besides for the completely crap response (yes it answered my question but left me with more (that I also emailed back but never got a reply)) I also got quite annoyed with the lack of explanation.

My question here is seeing as I want to do some maintenance on my bike whats the best way to get it off the ground, I was hoping for a center stand so I could at least clean and tension the chain as well as align the rear wheel.

First off, you don't need to get the wheel off the ground to adjust the chain.
Secondly paddock stand or axle stands.

This also answers the question, 'Should I buy a Sinnis Motorcycle?' that someone might be thinking about.

I was half considering getting one of a low mileage second hand Sinnis Retrostar 250s and I emailed Sinnis and said they didn't have teh Retrostar on their bikes list anymore and had they dropped it and if so would there be a reliable supply of spares for it. I was a bit put out when the response was that they would support any of their bikes for three years from new.

Three years? Doesn't sound like a good idea to buy one then.

That said, I know a couple of lads near here who have the Sinnis 125s and they have ragged them around for a couple of years and they say they've only needed consumables like tyres and pads.

You may find another sinnis brand or any Chinese bike will have a stand that fits. It's whether you want to gamble.

Yeah it looks like the parts are just generic, you can get away with anything for them really. I think the issue I had was calling it a Cafe 125 on the email, I mean the bike has that stickered on it but the actual booklet is something like a QY-RT4579 (just an example) So I'm going to try and give that a google and see what pops up on the shore.

Nobby,

How do I know if the stand will fit my bike? I was told they aren't universal.
