The Gladstone No.1. Built by Guy Willison and Henry Cole.
Only nine to be built of this custom Bobber.

Didn't think the back wheel could be the furthest item of the bike at the back. C&U jizz?

Looks alright, no doubt its absolutely useless on the roads other than pottering around and boy that is gonna be a dick to keep clean, but I think it looks decent.

I thought that a bobber was supposed to be built by taking bits off a preexisting bike.

That frame looks brand new bespoke. That makes it a custom, not a bobber.

He's nothing without his mate Gregor McEwan.

Type approval.

That'll be put through an MVSA test. I mean, maybe. Or that could be left as an exercise for the owner.

No mudguard = C&U fail, but apparently not necessary for MSVA.

why do hipsters hate silencers on exhausts?

is it because they never ride these terrible things?

apparently my post was confusing to some.

lest go into it a little more.

its 2018 and in the name of fashion they make a bike that sounds like a poorly maintained bit of farm machinery.
looks like it was knocked up by a scrap man.
if the promo video is to be believed it cant be ridden in a straight line.

some bikes are annoying to live near.
i think this bike would be annoying to own.

My 1 year old could get that tank decal down with fewer bubbles underneath.

It's not something I would own, or advocate that someone else should build.

I think the guy who published it for me thought it was a mistake. Laughing

If you’d read the article it has no mentioned of hipsters involved in the build. No silencers means more noise, some people like that, like thousands of them, always have.
I’d personally never own a bike that made this much noise but then again this is for the kind of owner who has more than three or four bikes to choose from.
The build and quality is impressive, I’ve seen scrappy bobbers and this isn’t one of them.

Ah fair play, I didn’t realise the spell check missed one T from that.
From the recorded call from Guy who built the bike, I heard it as paired down. I’d actually never heard the term “pared” until now Rolling Eyes
Not sure why everyone dislikes the bike and or article so much though Thinking

Comeon, you've been on here long enough to know how these things go.

It's because there's no subframe and the chain has a tensioner.

A hardtail with a blueprinted T140 lump. I bet it can put power down in a way that would startle many and is probably more than capable of utterly overwhelming their choice of tyre.

Yeah I guess I’ve spent too long away from the forum, it’s me that’s changed Laughing

When I saw the photos before going to do the road test, I was more excited about the Ducati Sportclassic 1000S but it was this that I enjoyed more. Loads of grunt and really easy to ride.

Or brakes. Brake? Does it actually have one on the rear? Eh?

Half width, rod activated drum on the rear, same as your enfield, stand on it hard enough, it'll lock. Exotic 4-leading drum on the front probably has enough bite to be going on with providing you keep on top of adjustment. Heat dissipation may be an issue, even with the big air-scoops. i wouldn't rely on a second big stop in quick succession.
