heres the issue, if my gilera dna 50 isn't above 7k revs I'm not goin above 10mph sounding like I'm farting down the road lol, I get stuck there whilst going over small hills sometimes almost like I'm stuck in top gear and wont stay in the lower gears in the powerband. also I have to pump the throttle from 3/4 to full back and forth to try and keep it in the powerband this makes me think the main jet is too small but I don't know. constantly fuckin with the carb both air and fuel screws but cant get it right any ideas?

Are the carb jets clear and have you any leaks anywhere?

what I thought but last time I had the carb in bits blew through the holes weren't even clogged or nothing hence the confusion. and no I didn't check the sizes I didn't think it was poorly jetted at first so didn't make a note of it

also the shit power seems to be at WOT, on these little bikes you are never at 1/4 throttle where the pilot would be mostly used unless at a stoplight

any ideas

also it tends to hang high like around 3k revs and doesn't drop down to like 1.2 where it normally idols, that makes me think its possibly a leak but idk what do you reckon
Considering how tiny the holes are, you really are sure you removed and checked them thoroughly? The hole in a pilot jet on a 50cc bike would be pin like in width at the most.

Even on my 250cc strokers, the holes can only really be checked if you hold them up to sunlight to see light through. Also, all passages need checking too.

If the carb and carb rubbers are tight with no obvious leaks, then I'd be looking at pilot or mid range jets, which some also have. Whilst you're there, take a not of the sizes.
the rubbers are a bit loose on the side going into the engine, i'll see if I can shimmy it around after takin the carb off and see if that makes a difference. spark plug is also a good colour btw

ps- unneeded snide comment regarding patch holders
