jets are fine what do you mean by leaks though? |
Really? You've removed the carb, dismantled it, removed the pilot, main and any other jets, cleaned and cleared any blockages with a compressor have you?
Are you sure? If you really had done that, you'd know the size of the jets. What are they?
Sounds like a blocked pilot to me. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

also the shit power seems to be at WOT, on these little bikes you are never at 1/4 throttle where the pilot would be mostly used unless at a stoplight
any ideas |
Considering how tiny the holes are, you really are sure you removed and checked them thoroughly? The hole in a pilot jet on a 50cc bike would be pin like in width at the most.
Even on my 250cc strokers, the holes can only really be checked if you hold them up to sunlight to see light through. Also, all passages need checking too.
If the carb and carb rubbers are tight with no obvious leaks, then I'd be looking at pilot or mid range jets, which some also have. Whilst you're there, take a not of the sizes. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

the rubbers are a bit loose on the side going into the engine, i'll see if I can shimmy it around after takin the carb off and see if that makes a difference. spark plug is also a good colour btw
ps- unneeded snide comment regarding patch holders ____________________ 98' RZ50, 92' H100S2, 03' VT125, 59' Jubilee 250, 05' varadero chop, |
