Hi all,

I'm looking for a good, lightweight safety boot. I'm willing to sacrifice a certain element of safety for the lightweight and comfort side.

I've got a 19 day straight stint at work, probably covering near enough 10 miles a day over long shifts, so comfort is paramount.

I have a pair of Englebert Strauss shoes that are reasonably good, but not as comfortable as I'd have hoped, and I want something with a bit of ankle protection, as people have a habit of ramming flight cases into the back of my ankles at the moment.

Price isn't too much of an issue....just want my feet to survive.

Thanks all!

Anything like that needs time to break in, so won't be comfy for a while.

im happy with my Dunlop walking safety boots from sports direct

on my feet for eight hours a day had them for over 12 months do walk ablout a fair bit but never measured how far but have walked into and back from work a few times as well

still comfy

come in boot or trainer type I have the trainer ones as no one runs into me with stuff Laughing

also my older karrimor work boots are still going well that I used to use on the track so walked about ten miles a day one day a week in them over 6 years (now used for gardening )

Will have a look.

I have a pair of Lowa GTX which are amazingly comfortable, but a bit overkill for work, and take up alot of space and weight in a suitcase.

What I ideally want is something that's as light and comfy as a walking boot, but with toecap protection.

Underarmour have a lightweight boot like this but it's terribly reviewed.

https://originalfootwear.com/collections/safety/products/classic-9-safety-plus

I've been wearing theses for over 10 years now, composite toe and sole which makes the boot very light and conformable l walk up to 15km a day with my job a pair normally last around 2 years of daily use.

Anything Haix...

I have been wearing Haix for about 6 or seven years now. A pair lasts me about a year before the tread is less than the legal 1mm. Smile

Sooooper Cumfy cumfy..

Cushion soles.
Metal plate etc.

Fully loaded.

I wear them in -35°- +45° for 12hr days. Can hardly feel there are on me.

But......

They are not fecking cheap.

I do not care as I break it down to cost per hour and then they cost nothing.

Haix.

German.

Probably academic by now but I've had a pair of uvex shoes for about 18 months.
Best I've had. Light, comfortable with elasticated laces, because I'm spezial.

Yes, really. they arent the only ones too.

Or maybe something with a more exotic feel?
