In MK the majority are Asians who seem to have progressed direct from a donkey and cart to a cab. They are often caught using someone else's licence when the police do a raid.
Mind there is a new company here that has actually been seen with a white face behind the wheel of some of their cars .
Just to really upset the snowflakes with my racist tirade, the only thing worse behind the wheel of a vehicle than an Asian minicab driver is a black woman in a (dented) people carrier. Frightening lack of basic awareness with them. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Before I started working for Addison Lee, I thought that they had the worst drivers on the road. In fact, as a biker, I would have specified that the AL Ford Galaxy drivers were the worst (arrogant as fuck).
Having now worked in that role, I have to say that at least Addison Lee provide a halfway-decent training course for their drivers, including having to go out on the road for a training afternoon with a RoSPA examiner. They encourage you to build up y our training and renew it on a regular basis.
The RoSPA examiner thing does help to clarify in your mind regarding your driving black spots (mine - apparently - are following too close and going too fast, yo, petrolhead habits)
I'm not sure which is more infuriating though: the ridiculously slow ones (Uber or AL) who are scared of getting points (no licence, no job, no feedee family) or the arrogant ones cutting everyone up in their hi-spec shiny exec-limo type motors.
Having the potential of alternative income streams, I could afford to be a bit more gung-ho about driving, but although the job has cost me a FORTUNE in fines, I think I've managed to escape with no extra points (so far) on my licence.
Uber has certainly made traffic much worse, much slower, although the bicycle lanes also have a big part to play in that, in many places, narrowing 2 already-congested lanes down to one... ridiculous! Bicycle lanes: invented by snowflakes for snowflakes.
Minicabbing has been an interesting diversion for me these past 2 years, and its probably actually made me a better driver. I'll probably give it up soon, but am likely to keep the licence renewed just in case the mood takes me to bugger off out of an office job again.
I can't criticise van drivers (white or otherwise) because in London, the city would barely run if deliveries did not get made. Interestingly, Addison Lee seem to have a HUGE fleet of vans (black) the population of which has increased massively in the last year.
Van drivers are the lesser of the two evils than the huge great lorries (.e.g. Bidvest) that clutter up London streets. Delivering to McDonalds or Tesco Local, or the omnipresent construction lorries (scaffolding, skip lorries, or just those ones delivering huge quantities of general building stuff) - don't even get me started on the building industry with their pompous "traffic marshalls". ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |
