im in right lane going 3rd exit hgv in left lane approaching
i overtake hgv... slow for roundabout no real rush

suddenly i have glass in my face.. rapidly mounting the roundabout and a foreign hgv ripping the side of my car off..

ok he gonna stop.. hes gonna pull over just down there..
no? oh hes not stopping..

2 cars of people stop to say they saw it and make sure im ok.. why did no cunt chase?

Happens on an almost daily basis in Dover. The favorite roundabout is one approaching the freight clearance at the Western docks.

Dual carriageway on and off a roundabout, but a single carriageway third exit for freight clearance. Johnny Foreigner likes to use the left, outside lane to go all the war around and take the third exit. British tourists like to overtake HGV's using the inside lane to go straight on, which is exactly what the road markings tell you to. Crunch.

Locals are wise to it, many unlucky tourists aren't.
The council come and sweep the glass up several times a week.

Another good one is "roundabout roulette", where foreign HGV drivers like to approach roundabouts at the wrong angle, so they can't see it from their left hand drive seat. They then wait around 10 seconds, before pulling out into live traffic, hoping not to hit too many cars in the process.

Add on the bottles of piss littering the A20 into Dover, human shit by the side of the road, plus their assistance to sit up the arse of cars who have to obey the 7 mile 40mph limit through the average speed cameras and it certainly brightens up a journey to the office.

i was slightly ahead but a reasonably slow speed roundabout and i was in no rush, he didnt have to slow as he was going pretty much straight, i had overtaken him none the less so he would have seen me there in his mirror.

Had a car up my arse through a town a few years ago, past no less than 7 cameras and then the twunt hit me on the roundabout and then shot off like a scalded cat...

Reported to Police as hit and run, even provided details of all the various camera we passed and surprisingly, as seem's to be the standard, grand F-A was done. Cost me a few hundred out of pocket to put the car right again and the world goes merrily on whilst c*nts get away with whatever they fancy it seems...

Am getting pretty tired of this country, Cameras on the cars, will be getting some for the house as well, not that it would be of any use for catching criminals it seems...

Why would you have such a high excess that in the event of an accident you would rather buy another car than make a claim?

And by reporting the accident to the insurers you will still be loaded for an unrecoverable claim, If your really unlucky you might find your ncb docked at renewal unless you can prove no tp liability and receive no payout. You may face bills from the police, emergancy service or even the council for attendance or damage so you will be paying these yourself out of your own pocket?
