If it was a BCFer who kindly moved my panniers to the side of the Horseshoe Pass yesterday morning and put them in a tidy visible pile, thank you.
I returned and retrieved them, minimum damage to panniers or contents, impressive considering they had leapt off at xx mph!

Note to self - must remember to secure luggage properly before riding!

You're very lucky, could have been a lot worse. Last time I had panniers jump, one of them got sucked into the back wheel and jammed between the swingarm and tyre. Luckily I was going in a straight line. Landed up with a flat-spotted tyre and the pannier all but on fire

I had a set of cloth panniers launch off my Ducati in Scotland and it almost threw me off .
