How do you report a diesel spill on a Saturday? In a car with some friends, came to a roundabout just out from my street and almost spun the car on a massive diesel spill. After recovering and continuing the journey found the coach ahead of us was still leaving a trail of diesel down the road.
Stopped at some lights and got out to tell them their tank was leaking, but then trying to find the right place to report the spill on the road to get to cleaned up is impossible? The .gov website directs you to the local authority page where the closest option seems to be to report a road defect, but it’s all online and there’s no rapid response option or anything. Can’t even call the council as they’re closed Saturday.
Figure if the spill is big enough to slide a car it’s guaranteed to cause a motorcycle to crash, but there’s nothing available to report it. :/
Snapped a photo of the offending coach so if anyone drops their motorbike on the intersection of Green Wrythe Lane and Middleton Road in Sutton, London, they know who to blame.

I would have used the police non-emergency number giving them the place and time and reg of the bus.
Why was that bus reversing BTW? ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
