Or for the cost of free: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bikes/sell-my-bike

Punch that through a few steps and it should tell you over on the right hand side, near "bike details", if the cartel have put a marker against it.

Why would you care though? If you don't know, you can't mislead anyone about it. "I don't know" is a truthful answer. If you're selling, caveat emptor applies.

Apparently, but I've yet to have one. Why it doesn't say as part of https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/, or why the cartel doesn't make it free and easy to find out, would be good followup questions.

The dealer who who is graciously helping me to pass my bike on thinks the prospective purchaser's possible finance company is using an 'unreliable' company to investigate it's history, I think it's much more basic than that, a ploy on price reduction. I checked with the RAC and it came up 'clean' and the dealer found the same through their sources. Thanks to all for responding.....it's very appreciated.

At that point, I'd no longer be interested in selling to that prospective buyer. Mr. Green

Add the cost of the HPI checks to the price.
