I am in the process of rebuilding a 76 Z900. I want to put a fatter tyre on the rear and wonder if any one has an idea of a swing arm that suits the frame that will take a wider rim.

The Pygmy.

Keep the info coming I clicked the wrong button

been there, done that, where are you in the country? you can have a look at mine, there are a number of pitfalls to avoid. Do you have access to machine tools?, it makes life a lot easier.

ZRX swing arm bolts in with too much agro, altho ya need to space out the upper shock mounts a tad & possibly use a dished front sprocket from another Kaw (GPz11 springs to mind for some reason) to move the chain out a tad.
Or you could find a JMC or CalFab (US) swing arm, I happen to have a CalFab sat in the garage on the back of a '78 Z1R, you can have it for $1200 & I'll throw in the rest of the bike...
