I've got new stanchions on order, and need to do this.

There's a diagramme here showing the parts to separate (#14 & #15).

Unscrew, or simple interference fit, or ? Any ideas?

When your new stanchion arrives, it will either have a screw thread on there, or it wont.

Old Thread Alert!
