wonder if anyone can help I cant get my dipped beam to work on my gsx1400 every thing else works fine wiring is ok bulb is ok just no dipped beam any help would be useful thanks

Has the dipped beam filament in the twin-filament bulb blown? New bulb required.

Change bulb? Looking ok and working are 2 different things.

The most common cause of headlight faults on Suzuki bikes
of that era is a bad connector. Check the connector blocks
near the front-end of the bike.

Ok, that rules out the battery, main fuse and ignition switch.

How do you know the wiring and bulb are ok?


Assuming the GSX wiring is similar to the GSF (Bandit),
The circuit is:

Ignition switch

Starter button/switch (to kill headlight when starting)

Dimmer (high/low) switch

Fuse for Headlight (Lo)

Bulb connector

A few minutes with a voltmeter will find the fault.
