One or two on here seem to rate these guys so I believe the fact that a new shop will/is open in the Milton Keynes area may be of interest to us soft southerners.

What was that big chain shop that went bump in the last couple of years? Not Hein Gericke, the other one.

From their farcebook page :-

Quote:
Our big news has been creeping out, but it's time to properly announce that our second SBS store will be opening soon in Milton Keynes. The signs are up now and somehow that makes it seems much more real 😁 Our crack new retail team are in training with the Marines as we write 😉 Once they've recovered you'll find us between Topps Tiles and Euro Car Parts in Bletchley Trade Park (MK6 4AE). You'll all be the first to know the exact date, but as the sign says, we're opening soon. Very soon! 👀..

Apparently they'll be looking at doing a bike night like the Lincolnshire branch once the shop's established.

I only use them online, they are quite good, now if they had a London shop I would probably go there.

I ordered a chin curtain for a Shark S700 from sportsbikeshop 2 years ago. It was listed as in stock, once I ordered I received an email saying there was a 14 day wait to get it in stock.

Up until April of this year I was getting emails every 14 days informing me how the item would not be in stock for another 14 days.

Even though they took no money it was still annoying so my attitude to sportsbikeshop is Middle Finger Middle Finger

It's South for the majority of the country.

Expanding beyond demand. No doubt the first shop will be a success, so they'll open another. And another. A la George White.

And Hein Gericke. I think it's partly owned by a German company now?

Exactly.

Probably worth noting that GW is now clothing and accessories only under a new name, same management.

Agreed.

It might not be South of London and is North of the M25 but it's very definitely in the South of England.

Milton Keynes is a town in southern England. Milton Keynes Museum traces the history of the area and its creation as a "new town," or planned development, in the 1960s. Its grounds feature six concrete cow sculptures that have become a symbol of the town. MK Gallery stages contemporary art exhibitions.

That's a weird location. There is hardly any available parking most days as it's full of Europarts vans and trade vans who don't look where they are going.

And MK is East Midlands, southern end. Razz

I have heard a lot of people saying the location is a bit crap. Can't be worse than Mission's can it?

Probably not except Missions do have their own carpark at the back for bikes. I'd be worried about parking anywhere near those Europart vans, they race in and out like a blind Lewis Hamilton's behind the wheel

Mk is in London. Swindon is where the North starts. I've never left Bristol, so I know this is fact.

When I lived in Weston-Super-Mare the 6 fingered Sloths that made up the local populace used to plan a trip to Bristol like Scott planned his trip to the south pole (Badly Laughing )

They used to go mob handed because Bristol was full of foreigners. They thought Wales was where the Vikings came from.

I passed my test in Bedford.
Apart from the river, it doesn't really have many redeeming features.
