i lost the log book to my R125 in a few house moves, when i came to apply for a new log book i found that the VIN plate was missing and the original no filed off, however another 6 digit no has been stamped into the frame, i assume these are the 6 unique digits from the VIN no, the problem is i dont know what the initial 11 digits are for the start, if my research is correct these identify details like where/when it was made and the make/model.

i searched online and managed to find the VIN from a 2013 model and tried that as the prefix on my HPI check but its not correct (VG5RE061000******) could anyone please tell me what the first 11 digits should be for a 2010 R125?

EDIT

Never mind i got it

Lost V5, VIN plate missing, frame number ground off and some number stamped on the frame...

Seems legit. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Is there any valid reason for the whole or part of a VIN number to be filed off of a frame?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
