Soundbar wont connect to Bluetooth.

I've connected to many peoples soundbars using my iphone (6+) in their houses. simple, easy, plays music.

Bought an LG soundbar because of amazone prime.

Plug it in, turn it on. select bluetooth, on my phone in Bluetooth selected LG soundbar. "Connected" on my phone (so that the music stops playing out of the phone) but no sound out of the soundbar, and the Bluetooth icon on the soundbar just keeps flashing (as in unconnected).

Ideas? i turned off every other device nearby - laptop, tv, pc xbox still nothing.

Model is LAS260B

Cheers for any help in advance

Ash

Not sure on iphone, but android you have more than one volume for music, phone, bluetooth. Make sure the correct output volume is set.

Is the volume on the soundbar working, is it set to the right input, does it make sound on other inputs are all things I'd be checking.

Edit : is there a secret masonic handshake to perform pairing?

the buttons on top of the bar dont seem to do anything. i got the bluetooth icon to stop flashing (so it was connected) but then as soon as i pressed play on my iphone music the soundbar died.turned off. sending this shit back.

I'd rule out the obvious..

Try your phone with another Bluetooth device
Try a different phone with the LG soundbar

Failing that - send it back. Sounds faulty.

tried all this. determined that it was probably thrown around by the useful delivery service.

getting a replacement in 10 days.

i hate that i have to wait 2 weeks to get a working item, but i guess (unless its the actual defective item) its not Amazons fault.. takes the gloss off treating myself.
