This will just end up a national policy, road tax will dramatically increase or they'll roll out a blanket clean air tax.

Incidentally, Lembit Öpik at MAG wants to be kept informed of local LEZ schemes. Not that the gurning goon has ever shown the basic common courtesy of responding to my reports on the Glasgow LEZ shenanigans, but you can give him a prod at: public-affairs@mag-uk.org

It's been coming for a while.

We bought my missus a 6 year old, Euro 5 car, hoping that if this did come in as a charge for privates, we'd at least have a modern-ish low emission car.

We live just outside the outer ring road so I won't be affected but it is only going one way. The missus could well be forced onto the super congested trains, we're the second to last stop on the line, it's a fight to get on ...

We went for the Petrol 1.2 TSI thingy what with all the hatred of diseasels and the fact the missus is going to be doing some rather small toing and froing type journeys for the next year.

Lemsip Optic is a Gravy Train season ticket holder.
He was the great white hope for MAG Inc. against the Bastirts of Westminster/Bruxells.

It won't matter, we'll all be forced to ride electric mountain bikes in all big towns and cities soon!
Trouble is if we have to ride or drive zero emissions vehicles in built up areas, then for the non ULEZ country side areas you might as well make up for it. With that in mind I'll be happily blowing out a haze of pure evil lung killing unburnt hydrocarbons with no guilt whatsoever.
