The Rieju RS3 125cc uses the Yamaha engne as in title I'm told.

The Yamaha engine is injected. The Rieju version is carburetted.

Question: Can the Yamaha's Yamaha engine be simply converted to carburetted? Ideas? I don't think I need one at the moment, just thinking about options.

Why? Because the Rieju version is carburetted, and just bolting the Rieju carb onto a replacement engine, should a replacement be necessary, might be easier and cheaper than t'other way around. I know little of injectors, but the ones fitted to (most?) small motorcycles seem to be of the "spray fuel into the air intake" type. Their advantage seems to be varying the fuel/air ratio, but they need various sensors to do that. Then again carburettor parts wear, but so do injectors... but... but...
