Well.

I've got it. It's funny. It's just that bigger than the 600 making my knees a bit less bent and my top half a bit less crunched up so a 3 hr ride home didn't feel like that. Add to that super easy cruising at 85 it munches the miles. Done 155 miles to 13.3 L so since the tank is supposedly 24 litres deep... that's over 200 to a tank by my maths!

It does feel long and a bit less nimble than the 600 but perhaps thats me being a tad rusty too.

Plenty cosmetic things to do but it seems to work well right now.

My longest trip without going into reserve was 211 miles. 250-300 miles is theoretically possible if you use all of the 6 litre reserve.

Enjoy.

Thinking back to mine, I had issues with the fuel pump relay, can't remember why bit I had to change it a couple of times.

Nothing much else comes to mind on the bad side but I was worried about the electrics starting to play up and it was getting a bit long in the tooth.

I did consider getting a later model but ended up getting my first 1200 GoldWing. Chalk and cheese springs to mind.

I was never really keen on ZZR's when they went to the 1200 and later the 1400. While it was undoubtedly a better bike, it was ugly as sin.

The other big Kwaks I had after that were the GTR and the ZRX . I don't think either had the charisma of the old 1100 when it came on song although the ZRX was close.

The one thing that makes me twitchy with mine ... the datatool alarm ...I think I want to get that removed sharpish.

Looking about online, the year I have is the year when they stopped "restricting" the carb with the flat tops and hopefully the fuel pump relay would be fixed if yours was a C and mine a D and a few years into that too.
