Having a problem with my Thunderace. Press the starter button get absolutely nothing, not even a click. After bumping the bike running for a while, stop and press starter fires straight up. If I then leave the bike for an hour or so, same press starter button and not even a click. Battery I fine and fully charged, lights horn etc working fine. Any thoughts.

The relay would click if that was the case.


I'd say dodgy connection somewhere, starter switch, clutch switch or side stand switch likely.

You say battery is fine and fully charged, means nothing really. My battery shows as 12.8, pressing starter it drops to 7, its fucked.

What voltage readings do you have when its off, when running on idle and when running at 5k rpm.
