Hi guys,

Just bought a 2007 CBF600 (FI) SA-8 with 43k miles on it. Overall the bike is is good condition but it seems to have a small idling issue and I'm stumped!

The auto choke will kick in regardless of whether it's the first start of the day from cold or if I've been riding for a while, turn the engine off for a minute and then start it again.

Once at temperature, the bike seems to run at around 1500 RPM but when I put it into neutral the revs drop to around 1350 RPM and then rise again when I put it in gear. When riding to slow down and pulling the clutch in, they also don't seem to drop as quickly as they probably should.

Any thoughts/help would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Does this bike have a choke cable to pull out?
Is the idle screw set ok?
Sounds like you have clutch drag so what engine oil is in it?

It's the fuel injected version so no manual choke or idle screw.

I did think clutch related but it's not dragging in any gear so not sure.

Your bike has many sensors giving the brain ecu info,
sounds like the cold start / temp sensor could be faulty but i`m no expert on F.I.
