To get back to Trump. An idiot, no, not in the slightest. You don't get to be President of the USA if you are an idiot.

He might be portrayed as a laughing stock by some (extremely rude, yes you Mr Khan) people and countries but he puts Americans and America first.

I wish our politicians would do the same (that's put Britain and British first, not American ).

However you can be sure that if there is anyway to impeach him the 'establishment' in America will do so, they haven't succeeded yet.

Populism is having a renaissance because to many people feel disenfranchised by the political elite. Until they are started to be listened to it's going to get stronger despite the media trying to ridicule or derogatory labelling (racist, nazi, right wing, etc).

The Syria thing depends on what the "next phase of the campaign" turns out to be.

Trump making announcements that you'd think he would have discussed with the appropriate government departments first is less of surprise each time it happens.

I've seen articles calling it an Obama-era type mistake but leaving a power void in a Middle Eastern country after bringing them freedom is almost a George Bush (junior) era type mistake.
